If the machine is showing the error that the left side output tray needs to be lowered and the customer doesn't want to lower it; most of the time you will have to tell them that too bad; it has to be down.
This is because faxes print to this tray by default, but you can change this on some models.
On Altalink 81xx series, from the walk up screen (not web server), go to:
Device > Tools> Device Settings > Output > Output Location:
Make sure Print, Copy, and Scan all are set to something OTHER than the left side output tray.
Restart the machine, the left side output tray error will go away.
